The Stop Button for the Internet

Sure, it's a joke, but in truth, the Internet ultimately depends on the heirarchy of the Domain Name System, which is, ultimately, controlled by eight server farms in Europe, Asia and North America, which in turn depend on updates every twelve hours from one machine outside Washington DC.
