Books:
I read a lot. Hard not to say something about something I do so much of.
Circus of the Mighty:
Back in 2002, I started a new plot thread in my Udra campaign. It began in obscurity with a wizard that didn't want to be, a circus acrobat and a strong man from overseas. The others wandered off but, the wizard went on to join the newly formed Postal Service of Queen Ellen I. There he was joined by a Glesnokian dwarf miner with a hidden past, an elven ranger obsessed with finding his lost teacher, a combat mage from Siron who was determined to prove herself, a walking corpse from the dead letter office, an elven second story man who had a hatred for all things elven, a demobilized cavalry soldier and a post-man who was the acme for all postal agents everywhere. These are the stories of their exploits.
Computer Support:
Here is where I put stuff about computers that doesn't fit any of the rest of my categories.
Games:
All games are toy universes and I have a lot to say about that. In this category I say it.
Miscellaneous:
There must always be a miscellaneous category. Here is where I put parts of the world that don't fit anywhere else.
Movies:
This one is pretty easy to figure out. I enjoy watching things happen on screens large and small. Here is where I talk about that.
Music:
This one is pretty easy. This is where I put articles about sounds that please me. This is mostly about listening to, not making of, sounds.
Personal:
First off, this is not too embarrassingly or dangerously personal. This is a public website. okay? But this is the category that I put things that matter strongly to me but don't fit in other categories. The category is not as alienating as one based on politics or ethics for example.
Science and Engineering:
We are a dangerous and wonderful combination of curiosity and tinkering. We want to to know why and how and we love to mess with things. That these basic and inalienable monkey urges later became rigorous endeavors is not surprising. Here I put articles about that.
Security and Privacy:
Someone is sending you dead trees you don't want because they looked you up in a database you had no say in making. Hype aside, biometrics are not the panacea the government claims they will be. Welcome to modern times. If you own a computer, you should think about this stuff.
The Future:
Ever since I was a little kid I've been obssessed about the big picture and where civilization was headed. Here is where I put articles about the future of society, of technological changes and other shameless speculation.
Webmastering:
This is where I put articles about Web design, accessibility and usability, articles about CMS design and programming, client-side script design and programming and anything I think I should know in my line of work.
